The Sightseeing Train will take you on an 8-Mile Journey around the city telling you about the historical sights which your students may want to come back and visit sometime with their entire family. This Fantastic New Package will be sure to thrill and excite everyone in the group. It includes: Motor Coach Transportation, Admission to the Colonial Spanish Quarter, Spanish Military Hospital and Guided Tour of the Castillo de San Marcos. In the Military Hospital the students will learn about the different medicines and herbs that were used to treat the soldiers when they were sick as well as see demonstrations about the surgical practices that were used when they were injured in battle.

Our overnight tour of Tallahassee is the perfect way to expose your students to the workings of our State Government as well as a vast array of Florida History. Your tour will include a visit to Wakulla Springs State Park. This 2,900 acre park is home to a wide variety of birds, fish, turtles deer and alligators. We will journey down the Wakulla River on a Jungle Boat Cruise to view The Real Florida.

We will also visit the Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science. Here your students will experience the Natural Habitat Zoo and Nature Trail. Our guided habitat trail tour will show your students animals native to the state of Florida in their natural habitats including black bears, river otters, foxes, wolves, white tailed deer and many others. After a brief stop a the motel to freshen up, we will head out for dinner and then an evening of shopping at the Governor’s Square Mall.

The second day of our tour will begin with at tour of the Old Capitol and learn some of the important facts about this historical building and how it has changed with the growing needs of our state. Our next stop will be the New Capitol, a 22-story splendor which houses the offices of our state legislators.

After visiting botht he Old and New Capitol Buildings, we are off to the Museum of Florida History. Visitors can stand beneath the nine foot high shoulder of a Great Mastadon, search out the sunken treasures of old Spanish Galleons, and march into battle in imagination under Florida’s Civil War Battle Flags. You can also climb aboard a reconstructed steamboat or take a trip down memory lane in Grandma’s Attic. After our exciting tour through Florida’s history, we will have lunch and begin our trip home with many fond memories of our visit to our state capitol.
